Role: Scrum Master / Project Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Kandivali East, Mumbai (Work from Office- Monday to Friday)
Experience: 5–8 Years
Relevant Experience: 3–5 Years as Scrum Master / Agile Project Lead
Travel Requirement: Candidates should be able to commute to the office within a maximum travel time of 60 minutes.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Scrum Master / Project Manager to drive and support Agile delivery across one or more cross-functional teams.
The role will focus on enabling effective Agile execution, facilitating collaboration across Product, Engineering, QA, and Business teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and with the expected quality. The ideal candidate will be delivery-oriented, proactive, and capable of identifying and resolving challenges while continuously improving team processes and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Support one or more Agile teams in delivering committed outcomes within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Work closely with Product Owners to ensure the product backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
- Track sprint progress, project milestones, dependencies, risks, and issues, and proactively drive their resolution.
- Identify and remove impediments that may impact team productivity or delivery.
- Ensure adherence to Agile and Scrum principles while applying a pragmatic approach based on project and organizational needs.
- Support release planning and coordinate cross-team dependencies where required.
- Monitor and report Agile delivery metrics, including velocity, burn-down/burn-up charts, cycle time, and sprint performance.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective retrospectives, team coaching, and actionable feedback.
- Facilitate clear and effective communication between Engineering, QA, Product, Business, and other stakeholders.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and potential delivery challenges to relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project and delivery documentation using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Support project planning, prioritization, resource coordination, and delivery tracking as required.
- Ensure timely escalation of critical risks and issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Contribute to building a collaborative, transparent, and high-performing Agile team culture.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5–8 years of overall experience in a software delivery environment, with a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Project Lead, or Project Manager in an Agile environment.
- Prior experience working as a Developer, QA Engineer, Business Analyst, or similar technical role is preferred.
- Strong practical understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Basic understanding of SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Agile engineering practices, including user stories, estimation, acceptance criteria, CI/CD awareness, and release planning.
- Strong experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies and managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar Agile project management tools.
- Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, and competing deadlines.
- Proactive approach to identifying risks, resolving impediments, and ensuring delivery commitments.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Scrum Master certification such as CSM, PSM, or PMI-ACP is a plus.
- Experience working with distributed or geographically diverse teams is an advantage.
- Experience in software product development or technology-driven organizations is preferred.
